CAMINO FRANCES: DAY 6
Day six of the Camino.
DAY 6η |
23 km |
From Puente La Reina to Estella
When we started our journey in the morning, we felt tremendous fatigue, we felt aching from the first step we took, and we especially felt the weight of our backpacks.
Before we started the Camino we thought it would be easier, nevertheless, it turned out to be much harder than we imagined. The heat makes the miles endless and our body aches everywhere.
Interestingly, our fellow travelers feel the same way as us, but this is normal since days 5, 6, and 7 are the hardest ones for the body.
The Camino is divided into three stages, the first one is physical, during which, your body tells you to give up because it aches so much. Once the body adjusts to the circumstances of fatigue then comes the second stage, the mental one. Afterwards, comes the beginning of a dialogue in one's mind, as the mind tries to discover a reason to continue supporting him/her in what he/she does. Of course, eventually the mind wouldn't find any reason. The third and final stage is the spiritual one during which the Camino teaches each pilgrim what his/her lesson they need to learn.
One of the expressions that is often used here on the way to Santiago is: "Camino Provides". Camino provides both what we would like and what we wouldn't like!
[...] Blessed are you pilgrim, when you contemplate the "Camino" and you discover it is full of names and dawns[...]
