CAMINO FRANCES: DAY 9

Camino day 9.

 DAY 9  | 23 km | From Viana to Navarrete

As soon as we had crossed the Evros River (the Spanish one, not ours in Greece) we entered to La Rioja the region of the vineyards and wine. La Rioja capital is Logroño, into which when we entered through its walls in the morning, it smelled freshly baked bread and coffee.

We stopped at Navarrete, a medieval town built along the Camino. It should be noted that every village we have passed through is medieval and each one of them has its own coat of arms and its own history.
